For many of us, these feel like the most groundless of times, but the truth is that times have always been uncertain. Our habitual stronghold on the notion that we can have complete control over our outer circumstances has caused us grave disappointment and dysregulation, as well as suffering. Embodied meditation and yoga practice help us find some spaciousness from the oftentimes agonizing contraction of illusory control. They are tools that can increase our ability and capacity to be present and awake to this life, with all its uncertainty, challenges, and extraordinary wonders.

Practicing alongside someone who can help guide and support our practice facilitates our learning and gifts us reflection, connection, and enjoyment in the development and integration of our practice into our daily lives.

What do I offer?
I offer classes and private sessions in:
meditation and mindfulness,
yoga for nervous system regulation, and
communicating for connection.

These offerings have come into being through decades of learning and unlearning, as a student, a practitioner, and as a facilitator/teacher. I offer practices, inquiries, and explorations intended to:
manage stress by regulating the nervous system;
facilitate experiences of embodiment;
highlight and develop personal agency;
increase capacity to regulate the nervous system when life brings dysregulation;
build resilience;
engage in self-compassion and compassion for others;
awaken an inner experience of resource and refuge; and
to inspire service to humanity through the unique and evolving personal expression of each student.

I'm told that I've now reached the upper limit of what people are willing to read on a website without shiny sparklies like photos, videos, or glitter bombs. So, I suppose, for this page, this is THE END.
Unless...

Oooh, look! A puppy!

Presence is not some highfalutin esoteric idea divorced from our common humanity. It is a practice and a process by which all facets of our being come online in this moment.
And this one.
It's a process of learning to drop in to this moment and to peaceably abide with ourselves while welcoming all that arises, without denial of the existence of any part of our reality.

These practices, which foster an embodied sense presence, improve our access to nervous system regulation, mental clarity, self-control, physical well-being, emotional well-being, and healthy ways of relating with ourselves, the world, and one another. Together, we can set the stage for developing a felt-sense of interconnectedness with everything and everyone—awakening remembrance of our inherent belonging, just as we remember the inherent belonging of all others.

"We need to take action to develop compassion, to create inner peace within ourselves, and to share that inner peace with our family and friends. Peace and warm-heartedness can then spread through the community just as ripples radiate out across the water when you drop a pebble into a pond."
(The 14th Dalai Lama)
